About the Hall

Our new and long-awaited village hall was opened for use on 7 September 2013.  It features a stage and badminton court, along with two smaller meeting rooms, kitchen and bar. Alongside the hall is a new children's play area and multi-use games area.  There is a footpath link from the hall site to the adjacent school car park, thereby providing mutual overflow parking facilities. The whole project, including the play area, cost over £700,000 to build. The work was carried out by Kilbury Construction Ltd, with project management by Astam.  The hall was designed by Brockhurst Associates. We are proud of the fact that these are all local companies.  We are also proud to have been the recipient of an award in 2014 from the Campaign to Protect Rural England; their citation referred to "a new village hall in keeping with its surroundings and with good sustainability credentials providing excellent facilities for community activities which is already well-used and supported by local people".
